Overview

As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for overall user experience for the Origami Risk platform. You will elevate organizational focus on both user interaction and user experience (UX) elements of Origami market-driven solutions.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Champions a human-centered design process for defining and executing features from concept to launch.
  • Crafts thoughtful hypotheses and novel design solutions using research, prototyping, data, and best-in-class design principles.
  • Conducts user research and work to ground recommendations in customer perspectives and challenges.
  • Clearly communicates design rationale and iterations to partners and stakeholders, via conceptual designs, user journeys, mockups, prototypes, and design specifications.
  • Provides systems thinking for large-scale modular design systems, both strategically and tactically, across web and mobile experiences.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

  • 3+ years; experience in product design, ideally B2B cloud platform-related, for both web and mobile functionality.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in UX Design, Human Factors, or another relevant field
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, including experience with user research, wireframing and rapid prototyping, with a focus on quick iteration and user feedback.
  • Experience owning design projects across the entire product lifecycle; comfortable working closely with product and engineering, to find elegant and practical solutions for our customers.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, and drive clarity that brings the user, technology, and business together.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate the rationale behind your design decisions. Experience presenting work to a broader product team, developers, and leaders, clearly and succinctly articulating goals and concepts.
  • Demonstrated experience in inclusive design and accessibility guidelines, is a plus, with the ability to incorporate diverse perspectives and abilities into design solutions.
  • Expert level skills in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite, with a keen eye for detail
