Overview

The Marketing Copywriter is responsible for creating clear and compelling written content that connects with Origami’s target audience and is consistent with our corporate style, tone, and voice. This role requires a creative thinker with a strong understanding of B2B marketing, particularly within the SaaS market. This person translates complex concepts into clear, concise copy reflective of Origami’s brand messaging.

 

Starting base pay for this role is between $64,800 and $81,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, training, location, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role will be eligible for a bonus as well as competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits, wellness reimbursement, life insurance, and a 401(k) with company match. We offer vacation and sick leave benefits (under a flexible time off policy in most states).

Responsibilities

  • Develops content for blogs, social posts, emails, and other marketing deliverables based on editorial brand guidelines and industry best practices
  • Creates content that aligns with Origami Risk’s brand voice and resonates with key personas.
  • Proofreads, revises, and edits for members of the marketing team to ensure high-quality, consistent, and error-free content.
  • Incorporates SEO best practices where appropriate to increase organic traffic and improve search engine rankings.
  • Conducts research and leverages partner agencies to ensure content is accurate, relevant, up-to-date and promotes timely topics / concepts.
  • Completes assignments on time and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborates with team members and subject matter experts (SMEs) as necessary.
  • Stays current on industry trends and product enhancements to guide content development.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in content creation and copywriting, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Strong understanding of insurance industry and/or risk management is preferred.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Proficiency in SEO best practices and content optimization.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and social media platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Extremely strong project management and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Understanding of digital trends and how to incorporate them into an overall content deliverables.
  • Strong collaboration skills to effectively work with internal stakeholders and other marketing team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools and CRM systems
  • Experience with social media content creation
  • Experience with WordPress
  • Experience with Canva
  • Knowledge of data analytics and performance tracking
