Overview

The Marketing Operations Project Manager is responsible for internal project management processes related to the overall Marketing Team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and proactive marketing professional who thrives in facilitating the smooth and efficient flow of marketing campaigns and projects. The Marketing Project Manager plays a key part in analyzing and refining our current workflows to optimize collaboration, improve operational efficiency, and accelerate project completion. This includes building out, enhancing, and educating on internal processes, as well as leading sprint activities including meeting scheduling, task creation, throughput measuring, forecasting, and reporting.

 

Starting base pay for this role is between $64,800 - $81,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, training, location, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role will be eligible for a bonus as well as competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits, wellness reimbursement, life insurance, and a 401(k) with company match. We offer vacation and sick leave benefits (under a flexible time off policy in most states). 

Responsibilities

  • Develops and leads marketing sprint activities, including process creating and education, meeting scheduling, task creation, project management, throughput measurement, forecasting and team reporting.
  • Works with team leads to develop standardized templates to support efficiency in workflow.
  • Educates Marketing team on proper use of Asana and project management best practices.
  • Collaborates with the Marketing team and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Develops detailed project plans, including tasks, timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Monitors project workloads and resource allocation, escalating potential capacity issues as needed.
  • Identifies bottlenecks and inefficiencies in current marketing workflows and proposes solutions for improvement.
  • Leads and motivates cross-functional project teams, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities. Fosters a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Facilitates clear and consistent communication among team members, stakeholders, and clients. Provides regular project status updates, deadlines, risks and reports to key stakeholders.
  • Manages assigned project budgets, monitors expenses, and tracks financial metrics. Ensures projects are delivered within budgetary constraints.
  • Proactively manages changes in project scope, schedule, or objectives. Evaluates the impact of changes and communicates adjustments to stakeholders. Drives clarity around options and tradeoffs to provide clarity on feasibility of workload to team members.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, requirements, meeting minutes, and other relevant records.
  • Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement within the Marketing team.
  • Supports CMO and other Marketing leaders on OKRs, goal setting, budgeting and business planning.
 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of previous Project Management experience with a prior focus on Marketing-related projects and initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree – Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of the different stages of the creative process.
  • A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Experience in analyzing and optimizing workflows.
  • Prior knowledge and experience with Asana and other project management tools.
  • Prior knowledge and experience with Marketo and other marketing automation tools.
  • Exposure to Agile project management disciplines with the ability leverage the appropriate disciplines and methodologies as needed.
  • Experience working with C-level and other high level team members on internal facing projects.
  • Ability to translate requirements and process mapping into comprehensive documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • PMP certification strongly preferred.
