As a Vice President of Sales, you are responsible for driving the sales strategy and new and profitable revenue growth through the successful management and coaching of a high performing sales team.
Responsibilities
Accountable for sales and growth success, by ensuring sales representatives achieve quarterly and annual sales and business development targets and the team reaches or exceeds sales goals.
Develops and executes outbound sales strategies.
Manages consistent pipeline progress and sales tactics/strategy of each team member.
Supports sales representatives in meetings with prospective clients to help close deals.
Provides coaching and oversight of all sales staff to ensure productivity and quality using Origami’s sales process.
Builds strong rapport with cross-functional stakeholders to drive sales strategy and operational excellence.
Collaborates with Sales Operations and Marketing to ensure that Origami’s entire marketing, lead generation and sales process are consistently aligned.
Assesses the strengths and weaknesses of the Sales Teams and manage the sales program and individuals accordingly.
Implements a strategy for developing and maintaining a strong, consistent pipeline of prospective clients.
Confirms or estimates potential strong competitors on each opportunity and devise a strategy to successfully compare and contrast Origami to each of them.
Assists in the continual management of hiring pipeline of Sales representatives, including conducting interviews, assessments and providing feedback on potential hires.
Enforces the company’s policies and procedures, including use of CRM, documentation, interaction with other departments such as Legal, Finance and Professional Services.
Accountable for strategic and tactical initiatives throughout the year as directed by the Senior Vice President of Sales.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field.
10+ years of B2B SaaS sales leadership experience
5+ years of direct and/or indirect experience leading sales development functions
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
Familiarity with and a history of execution of a highly consultative sales process, such as the Sandler Sales Process
Insurance technology background a plus
Excellent coaching skills: ability to observe, evaluate and give meaningful feedback
Familiarity with a CRM, preferably Salesforce
Strong analytical & problem solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
